With the potential merger with supermarket group Ahold being mounted, Delhaize faces a number of new challenges. To tackle these challenges head on, the business devised a new, forward-looking programme with service and quality as its spearheads. The company laid the foundations for this new programme at Business Faculty. The group staged a series of seminars, involving plenary as well as break-out sessions, each attended by some two hundred 'grocers' of the future.
